Resemin Named Exclusive Licensee for Schopf Mining Vehicles
In order to meet increasing demand in the mining industry and offer customers top-quality products with the best price-performance ratio, Schopf Maschinenbau GmbH, a member of the Goldhofer Group, has established a close partnership with Resemin S.A., headquartered in Lima, Peru. Operating under an exclusive license, the Peruvian company will take over all of Schopf’s activities outside of Europe and will be responsible - in close cooperation with Schopf - for all non-European production operations as well as international sales and service.
Resemin S.A. has been in the market since 1989 and received ISO 9001 certification in 2002. In 2017 Resemin was chosen for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Ernst & Young consultants. With subsidiaries in India, Zambia, DR Congo, Argentina, Bolivia and México; Resemin has the infrastructure to guarantee effective sales and service for Schopf customers worldwide.
Resemin’s excellent standards of engineering and technology, quality workmanship along with the quality standards of its suppliers, and above all the importance attached to the company’s ethics and values convinced senior management at Goldhofer of the wisdom of entering into a partnership with Resemin. In Europe, the mining market will continue to be serviced by the Group’s German production plant in Ostfildern and its existing service network.
Hubert Schaller, Managing Director at Schopf Maschinenbau GmbH and Member of the Board at Goldhofer AG said, “In the last few years, the mining industry has seen significant growth. In our determination to continue to service this price-sensitive market with a full range of top-quality equipment, we see cooperation with Resemin as a positive development for our customers worldwide. With Resemin, we have found a highly dynamic licensee for our mining vehicles with industry experience and an international orientation. Our customers will continue to have access to high-grade mining vehicles and outstanding after-sales service under the well-known, old-established Schopf brand.”
James Valenzuela, CEO and proprietor of Resemin, added, “The Schopf product license means Resemin is extending its vehicle portfolio as a prerequisite for playing an even more important role in the mining industry in partnership with Schopf.” For the Goldhofer Group, the agreement also means that the presence of the Schopf brand will be extended to include other major mining markets worldwide – a win-win situation for both companies.
